A Small Change, a Better Library
Practise writing a persuasive email that suggests an improvement to a local service. You will explain a problem, propose a practical solution, and describe its benefits.
Key words
- proposal — a suggestion or plan for others to consider
- accessible — easy for people to reach or use
- benefit — a helpful or positive result
Tip: Organise your email into clear paragraphs: explain your purpose, develop your suggestion, and finish politely. Support your proposal with specific reasons rather than simply saying it is a good idea.
Your task
Your local library has invited residents to suggest improvements. Write an email to the library manager proposing one change. Explain a current problem, describe your solution, and show how it would benefit different users. Mention one possible difficulty and suggest how to manage it. Use a polite, persuasive tone.
